Connect with God

Do you believe there is a heaven and hell?

If you died right now where would you go and why?

If what you believe were not true, would you want to know?

If your answer is “yes” to this final question, then please continue to read.

The following verses offer a clear understanding of what the Bible says about connecting with Jesus and how you can enter Heaven.

You’re encouraged to read each verse aloud then consider, “What does this verse say to me?”
The Problem:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

What does this say to you?
The Consequence:

For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23

(In this context death means “hell.”)

What does this say to you?
The Solution:

… unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

(“Born again” literally means to be born from above or spiritually born.)

What does this say to you?
The Way:

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

What does this say to you?
The Choice:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

What does this say to you?
The Result:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

What does this say to you?

There exists an infinite, all-knowing, all-powerful God who created all things for His glory.

We have corrupted creation and ourselves thus staining God’s glory by…

…following our desires and not God’s.
…being unthankful for God’s gift of life.
…defying God’s rule and authority.

This is called sin.

God being “just” cannot allow sin to go unpunished. Not being able to spare His wrath against us, Christ came to earth.

Christ received our punishment as He died on the cross. God then raised him physically from the dead. That same power that raised Christ from the dead will transform you into the man or woman you were meant to be.

In your own words tell God that you are repenting (turning away) from your sins, ask Him to forgive you of your sins and that you accept what Christ did on the cross to save you.

Make this commitment with God and you will have a place reserved in Heaven. Otherwise you will experience God’s judgment.
